The whole day was well spent with lots of fun bonding moments with the family to treasure and hundreds of memories captured in pics to cherish. It’s just sad that Asher wasn’t able to swim due to his cough but nevertheless, he had fun looking at the animals at Avilon Zoo (he even had an up close encounter with Lobo and Trixie the monkey) and watching his dad, tito and cousin wading in the pool.
I’m just dropping by to check mails and will also go offline in a while. My sore thigh and leg muscles dictate my body to hit the sack the soonest. Tomorrow’s another busy offline day too…need to drop by at the pedia’s clinic first to have Asher’s recurred cough checked before we go to Makati and go Trick or Treating at hubby’s office.
Bloglines shows 81 feeds to read at the moment (and I expect the number be doubled by tomorrow) so utang muna ang visit.
We’ll be having a family affair this coming Wednesday. My in-laws, who own a pre-school, scheduled the annual educational excursion of the kids on this day. And yearly, the whole family gets to join for free. This year, we’ll be heading to Rizal to visit the Avilon Zoo in Rodriguez (yay! lots of camera critters entries coming up!) and 9 Waves Ciudad Christhia Resort in San Mateo for a few hours of swimming and relaxing. MIL has everything covered already including the reservation of the destinations and of the bus rentals.
I think there will be 3 buses to accommodate all of the pre-schoolers and their companions. Hope this year the buses are better. The preggy me wasn’t so comfortable last year with the unreclinable seats. If only there’s a bus rental company here similar to those New York Bus Charter, then the trip would be pretty relaxing.
In New York, trips and excursions are made more enjoyable because of reliable bus charters such as those at NycBusCharters.com. A leader in the transportation industry for over 20 years, they are trusted for their clean and well maintained vehicles and on time service. Their drivers are safe, courteous, experienced and they only utilize luxurious, quality vehicles. All their deluxe motor coaches are climate controlled and even include lavatory, video and audio capabilities, PA systems, and reclining seats. So should you need transportation for your group to conventions, trade shows, amusement parks, day trips, tailored custom tours, hotels or transfers between airports, only NYC Bus Charters can provide the ultimate road experience in New York.
And so anyway back to the field trip Wednesday, we’re all pretty excited as this would be an unwinding moment for everyone. This is Asher’s second time to swim if ever but I’m still monitoring him since he seems has colds at the moment. Hope he’ll be better soon.

Not really my picture nor Asher’s but the letter that I sent last August for the Reader’s Feedback portion. I will scan it soon and blog about it on my Mommy Blog. I wasn’t really expecting that it’d be featured since it’s been months since I submitted it. So just imagine my surprise when I saw my name and the letter I wrote. Didn’t win a special prize but it’s okay at least my name’s still published. Sayang nga lang, if I’ve known na pede pala, I should have included a pic of Asher. Eh di sana, sikat siya.
I’ve been meaning to blog about my take on the Twitter EB Party last Saturday but since my connection isn’t cooperating this noon that it doesn’t allow me to upload the pictures the husband took on to my Flickr account, I’ll just blog about some other things instead.
Anyway, my step mom informed us last week to expect the arrival of the box she just shipped. We regularly receive a box full of stuffs for the home (kitchen and bathroom supplies usually) and other goodies (groceries, chocolates and apparels) for me and my siblings. These stuffs especially the branded apparels are her shopping loots that she hoard whenever malls in Dammam and Al-Khobar go on sale. I’m looking forward to the box she sent (as always) but I’m more excited this time because I know that there a lot of stuffs for the first grandchild. She knows that we’ll be going to Boracay this December so she bought Asher a cute little swimming trunks. I wonder if she also bought me swimsuits..I badly need one, a tankini top to be specific, since I can’t strut on the beach with horrifying stretch marks on my tummy. The box is set to arrive by the first week of November since sea freight usually takes one month of travelling.
And so we’re back relaxed and rejuvenated..thanks to the long weekend. Nope we didn’t wander far to take a brief getaway elsewhere but we just spent it over at my in-laws place as we always do on weekends. Thanks to a moved holiday yesterday that we got to spend a whole extra day with Daddy. We had a typical Saturday and Sunday: bummed around the house, watched TV, played with the little one, slept, lounged online and of course, our favorite past time: took shots of the little one. We weren’t able to attend the Sunday mass though as both the Mommy and the baby overslept in the morning. Lolz. The husband promised that he’d treat us and go malling the next day. The invitation was also a good timing as the little one got invited to 2 birthday parties soon that we have to buy gifts for the celebrants. I’m quite excited on these as it’d be the first time for the little one to attend such. Likewise, it’s also a way of prepping up myself because in six months time, it’ll be the little one’s turn to celebrate his first birthday party.
So anyway, joined by my in-laws, we drove to the mall yesterday. We headed right away to the Baby’s section and shopped til we dropped. See here what we got him. As usual, we splurged for the little one. It could have been more, but we just postponed buying a new crib bedding so we could still relaxingly stroll around without much bulk in tow. Then we had a pizza treat from the husband for merienda. That’s when we remembered we forgot to buy birthday gifts for the parties we’ll be attending this coming weekend. Tee hee hee..we got overly excited shopping for the little one. We still have ample time anyway so we’ll just be back within the week to shop for gifts.
The upcoming weekend is also a prolonged one because Malacanang has moved the National Heroes Day to Monday. Yahoo! I bet we’ll be having another cool weekend ahead. Looking forward to it!
