Debt Help.
Unlike me who has more than one credit card at the moment, my dad doesn’t own any even just one. He says, that he doesn’t want to incur any debt or debt loans in any form. He’d rather pay in cold cash, settle all his duties right away so he won’t think about any obligations to settle or worry about any credits in the future. Lucky for him because he has the means to pay his purchases fully. Oh well, he rarely shops anyway or should I say being the thrifty Ilocano that he is, he’d rather put the money in the bank and save. He has a point actually so he won’t be needing to ask for debt help if in case he falls into credit pits. It’s one effective way to save money. One negative thing about credit cards is that they’re a temptation. Like let’s say there are sales and bargains, you can easily just swipe it even if you aren’t sure if you have reserved or will have funds for that outright purchase. So you see, not having a card indeed prevents you from unnecessary splurging. This one of the reasons also why a lot find themselves incurring negative balances later on. They’re so careless with their credit card usage that they find themselves in the brink of bankruptcy. But of course, they are still lucky since there are financial institutions who can readily assist like offer debt consolidation where they pool altogether one’s outstanding credit card dues and offer them at lower interest rates. If you know for yourself that you can’t control your credit card spending, try imitating my Dad…don’t own one.
