Bleak Future.
My twitter friends and I were discussing a while ago about the effects of the world economic crisis on businesses and firms here in the country. Particularly those firms who were forced to lay off some of their employees and businesses who are shutting down a few of their branches or offices. It’s really sad that these are happening. It’s depressing to hear on the news those who got suddenly axed and moreso if they are the breadwinners of their family. Just imagine how many mouths will suffer, how many kids will be forced to stop from schooling or simply, how many families will have a very hard time to make their ends meet. Further, my heart also goes to the graduating students whose future and career will be bleak because there are certain jobs for them upon their graduation. If those who have working experiences are having difficulties in applying, then how much more for them. I agree with what the Department of Labor and Employment has advised them, to just keep on applying and not to be choosy. Forget the lavish benefits like car allowances, communication allowances and any other perks, as long as the pay is just fair for a daily living, then go and grab it. After all, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel so let’s just hope and pray that this recession thing will pass and we’ll all recover soon.
