Preschooling Update

June 30th, 2011

School started last week for Asher who’s now officially a preschooler.  We are currently on our second week and I think, we’re adjusting quite well.  So far, he’s enjoying and doing great and I hope he’d remain that way for the rest of the school year and the coming schooling years.  I can say that we’re inch by inch getting adjusted to the new morning routines that we have like waking up early and being picked up by the school service at 8 am.  I stay with him in the classroom for a while then as soon as the class starts, I bid him farewell giving him assurance that I’d just be and wait for him in the fetcher’s area.  I’m just so elated that since Monday (the day when parents are no longer allowed in the room), he never cried nor got feared of me leaving him.  From where I’m waiting, I’d hear his voice participating and joining well during class activities and recitation. Except for his short temper which he would exhibit whenever he’s upset over a classmate grabbing his toy (very common among toddlers), his teacher said that he’s doing fine and adjusting well.

So far, I’m also pleased with the school and how the teachers have been handling well these first timer preschoolers.  The amenities and services may not be as complete as the Pre Schools IFSC provide, but the way they handle and teach their students are very satisfactory.

Speaking of preschools in IFSC, Dublin, you might want to check out one preschool there that has been voted as the Crèche Of The Year 2008.  Giraffe Childcare offers full time and part time innovative and progressive childcare services for children four months up to 6 years old.  Learning through imagination, creativity and play is the main core of their quality learning and development programs.

Singapore – Day 1

June 29th, 2011

We started our day early because we have to be at the airport by 7 am, the check in time for our 10:10 am trip.  Thank God we were able to hail a taxi cab immediately and EDSA traffic was manageable at 6am so we arrived at the airport at exactly 6:45am.  Ate L and her family just arrived also and 15 minutes later, we met Papa and the rest of the gang and together we all checked in.  We filled ourselves with burgers and noodles prior to proceeding to the boarding area since we’d be arriving in SG at 1:30pm and figured that we won’t be having our lunch until after we get settled in the hotel in the afternoon.

PS: Daddy, I hope you could come home early tonight.  I need the EHD so I can already burn the pictures and blog about our SG trip simultaneously…with pictures. :)

Wealth Management Plans

June 24th, 2011

Seeing Singapore..the clean city, the fast-paced lives of the people, the tall buildings and skyscrapers, I can’t help but be amazed how progressive, rich and urbanized their country is.  It’s not right to compare but I really feel sorry and disappointed how our country is it’s entirely opposite.  But I believe with good governance, discipline and discipline among ourselves, good wealth management plans we’d also be able to catch up with our neighboring progressive countries.
Speaking of wealth management plans, there are financial firms such as the The Eichwald | Fritch (a Missoula, MT wealth management group) that specialize in assisting individuals, families and businesses in coming up with an integrated approach for better management of the many facets of their financial lives.  The study covers investments, real estate, cash flow, insurance, debt, retirement and every financial aspect there is that’s related in providing a better and secured future.

Just a Teaser

This is an iPhone shot of myself and the little kiddo while exploring Singapore Zoo via a tram ride.  Despite feeling a little feverish, Asher enjoyed seeing and exploring the animals from the wild.  I must say that the kid in me had fun, too, and was deeply astonished how the zoo is well maintained.  We thought of bringing our bushnell binoculars thinking that we could view the animals better from afar but there wasn’t really a need for one because the animals were safely confined just near the visitors’ viewing area.  Up close, we were able to admire the wild fauna.  I haven’t uploaded the pictures but I promise I’ll share and blog about them once I get the time to do so.
