Remember This, Mai…

superstickies

This is the third consecutive time that I’m culminating a month so exhausted and tired.  I don’t know what’s with the fourth week that all online tasks pour in all at the same time.  But no, I am not complaining.  I do not have the right to complain at all.   So even though my body’s PMS-ing, feeling so down (because of whacked hormones) and all, I have to get up and work…even if it means I have to stay all night long just to beat deadlines (like what I did last Saturday).  There are eye creams, anyway, to cover my raccoon-like eyes.  After all, this would mean a beefier paypal wallet which correspondingly means a heftier savings and a happier us. :)

Scared No More

August 31st, 2010

When Asher turned a year old, he started to fear mascots, clowns and all those dressed up party figures.  He really throws a fit and wail loudly every time one gets near him.  In fact, he even considered Jollibee an enemy.  He referred to him as “A-a” while putting his hand on his neck in a strangling position.  Every time we asked what did Jollibee do to him, he would say in action that “A-a” touched his head (which Jollibee really did once in a birthday party) then he continued his narration with a strangling position.  Nobody taught this to him so we’re all amazed that he could make up stories like that at such a young age.

Fast forward to August 14, we attended a birthday party at Jollibee and look:

Seems like the feeling of hostility has completely died down that Asher was even so enamored hugging and kissing Jollibee.  He did not get intimidated by Jollibee’s huge belly and gigantic snow boots.  In fact, he was unstoppable.  He kept asking Yayie to bring him near Jollibee so he can give him a high five, hug and kiss him over and over.

Safest Investment

August 30th, 2010

Financial advisors and experts say that one of the safest investments these days are gold whether in a bullion form, ingots or coins. Going through and reviewing the gold history, it has long been the most sought after precious metal since time immemorial because of its characteristics: most malleable and most ductile among all metals. In this present age, it remains to be one of the favored form of investment because it does not devalue over time no matter how harsh the world economic condition could become. In fact, experts say that it even picks up and gold prices are soaring during the recession times. Check out the website of US Gold Bureau in support of this claim.

Three Things to Note…

August 30th, 2010

There are three things to note on this series of pictures:

1. Asher’s haircut

- He had just his haircut in a regular barber shop.  According to Paul (I didn’t go with them because I want them to enjoy this as a Father-Son bonding thingie), he was well behaved all throughout.  Actually, we knew that he’s ready to have a haircut no longer needing  the kiddie car seats and Barney DVDs at Cuts 4 Tots to distract him because ever since, he likes having a haircut.  Unlike the other kids, he never cried nor got frightened by the scissors or by the stylist cutting his hair. (So binata na talaga siya.)  Great job, Asher! (Great savings as well for Daddy…hehe)

2. This was taken while we were preparing to set out and watch the UST-DLSU game live last August 1 at PhilSports Arena.

3.  Do notice of the shirt.  It’s pretty obvious who we rooted for in the game.  Paul and I are true-blooded Thomasians so the shirt speaks for itself where we wish him to send for schooling.  I actually bought this wholesale apparel from a Multiply seller.  Nice, isn’t it?  This is very timely for our beloved school’s 400th year celebration next year.

I Want To Win This Watch

August 30th, 2010

Watch

When Asher was born, I seldom wore a watch fearing that he might accidentally get scratched by it when I cuddle or carry him.  Because of that I got used to not wearing any until now.  It was just okay since we rarely go out then but now that we always set out on weekends, I wish I have an elegant watch to partner my newly bought trendy dresses and tops with.  I’m actually saving up for the Black Friday sale happening on November 26 to score a great deal on watches but why would I wait for it when I can possibly have a watch for free?

A good friend, Faye, (who happens to be a Sister-in-law of a former High School classmate of mine) is holding a great giveaway contest on her blog, Quicker8.com.  Up for grabs is a Ladies Chronograph (big face) watch for the grand prize.  Prizes for the runners up are these Kate Spade Vanity Kit Bags that also make a great partner to my KS Cornelia Street Noel Dani bag.

So yes, I’m crossing my fingers (and toes) that I win any of these loots.  I really would love to win the watch so I suggest do not join this contest so I have a bigger chance to win…just joking, of course! Check out the blog details here so  you can stand a chance to win these fabulous prizes, too!
