Gold Coins.

June 30th, 2010

Guess what I’ve just unearthed while cleaning up my closet last month at my folks’ place…an album of old international and local coins that my siblings and I collected a few years back. Obviously we didn’t continue this hobby anymore so it got abandoned at the farthest back of the closet. How could we, right? I know, old and rare coins, especially gold coins, can make a good fortune.  That’s why many investors opt to buy gold coins over other forms because it’s proven to be promising and profitable.  I absolutely know nothing about how gold trading goes but I have heard that the US Gold Bureau is a good resource and a helpful site to refer to for any gold investment needs.

“Dad, Don’t Read This”

June 18th, 2010

My Dad, who’s based in Saudi, occasionally reads this blog of mine.  And so, I’m not sure if he’s gonna like or approve what he’ll read next.

Anyway, I think, I have blogged already that our youngest sibling, Rely, took driving lessons last summer.  So since the family car is just lodged in the garage, he finally gave the go signal to Rely to use it after obtaining his Driver’s License.  As expected, he’s been out of the house almost every day ever since.  Well, talk about beginner’s excitement.  Aside from that, he has started altering the accessories like the stereo and the headlights.  I was surprised the other week to see the car having halo headlights already.  Looks like the little bro has claimed the car as his, huh?

Okay, let’s just hope that my Dad won’t see this post so that it won’t appear that I’m sneaking behind my brother’s back and escalating these issues to the Big Boss. LOL.

My iPod Touch Apps.

June 18th, 2010

I’ve been yearning for an iPhone for a long time but since Php 30K+ is too much for me to shell out, I settled for the second best.  Anyway, ipods, the iPod Touch for that matter, are like iPhones sans the calling and texting features.  I have my trusty and durable N7210 Supernova for more than a year now and it is still able to endure the wreckful hands of the little one.  So there’s no need for an upgrade on that matter.  I just want the on-the-go surfing and downloadable fun applications features but since the iPod Touch can have them just the same, it’s the perfect device for me. Now I can’t get enough of this thing as I’m hooked to downloading apps and games from the iTunes AppStore.  Even the little one is loving this device too because of the installed kiddie apps.

Just to share, here are the contents my iTouch has so far:

An Outstanding Investment Opportunity

June 17th, 2010

Despite the big project that the husband and I undertook, we’re so thankful that our savings is miraculously coping up.  It is because we’ve been blessed with generous bonuses from the husband’s employer while I on the other hand, have been showered with bountiful online earning opportunities left and right since the year started.  Thus, despite the major expenses we’ve had, we have spare savings that we can invest on worthwhile ventures.  I’ve come across the website of US Gold Bureau and I’m quite drawn to buy gold coins and try precious metal investment.  I’ve read that it’s always a perfect time to buy gold and it is proven to be an outstanding investment opportunity because it does not devalue over time whatever the economic condition.

Shoes. Sandals. Agua. Bendita.

June 16th, 2010

When the husband asked the little one last weekend…

Daddy: Buy kita ng pet?

Asher: Opo..puppet.

I thought he was just joking.

We really were set to go to Cartimar last Monday to buy the husband his much awaited and long wished pair of rubber shoes.

Yebah! Go Uste ang kulay ah. (In celebration of UST’s quadricentennial year ba, Dad?)

Like Father, Like Son.  We saw these cute mini version of Paul’s slider sandals and so we also bought a pair for the little one.

But as Cartimar is also known for its huge pet market, look what we brought home along with the boys’ loots.

All for Php 600.  A complete tank plus two red and white Oranda Goldfishes.  Guess, what we named them.

The first one is Agua and the second one is Bendita.  Names so unique, huh? Asher has lovingly called them such as he’s familiar with the Kapamilya Teleserye.  In the morning, he waves and greets them: “Mo-ning Agua….mo-ning Dita!” He loves feeding them, too.
