Tagaytay Getaway Preview

Tagaytay Picnic Grove

My apologies if my blog posts are all only teasers.

I promise will try to blog about them as soon as I find my pace.

Uber Tired.

October 29th, 2009

Finally settled down after a very tiring yet fun day.

As previously blogged and tweeted, we joined today the LFLS field trip and had fun watching a puppet show in Pius Center in Manila, had a great lunch at Tagaytay Picnic Grove and cherished the cool afternoon breeze of Tagaytay while we enjoyed a very serene and calming view of the whole city from the People’s Park or formerly known as The Palace in the Sky.

Sorry if I am yet (again) postpone my blogging about our whole day adventure as my body’s yearning to rest. Watch out for photo uploads soon. I’m also off to nurse this little bruise I have on my right knee that got accidentally bumped into an office furniture while we were in Pius Center. I know, I know, I haven’t shared yet the Enchanted Kingdom weekend experience we had last time. Just give me time to breathe and I’ll blog about them one by one. I have to warn you though because Asher’s nanny is off to a one week vacation starting tomorrow night so that means I have a limited online time next week. Expect that it will take a little bit longer before I get settled and share all these recent adventures.

In Search of Athletic Shoes?

October 29th, 2009

I know of a friend who recently joined Nike’s The Day The World Runs fun run event last weekend and according to her, it was one unforgettable experience. It was her first time to join actually and she had a blast.  She was clueless at first and was even adamant if she’d get to finish the entire course. Later on, she learned that they ran about 6.41 kilometers and she really was well-pleased, proud and joyous of her achievement.  Her preparations for the event included engaging in a few sessions on the treadmill days before the event and of course, bought a new pair of athletic shoes.

Speaking of athletic shoes, she mentioned about her latest online shop discovery where discount athletic shoes abound. I tried browsing Shoebacca and truly, there are tons of running and athletic Adidas shoes in their gallery that are so tempting especially with their irresistible marked down prices. The site has a wide array of designs, styles and colors to choose from. In fact, when I tried to search with the keyword “running shoes”, it yielded 1,129 search results. So that means, the options are limitless and you really have to allot ample time to go through each page.  It may be a little disadvantage but at least you’re guaranteed that you’ll get the best deal there is.  Besides, browsing through multiple types in the same store is a lot easier and better than hopping in shops with limited options to choose from.

Where We Were.

Just a preview where we were last weekend.

Finally, our much awaited Enchanted Kingdom trip (with the husband’s colleagues) pushed through last Saturday. No more Ondoy or Pepeng or Ramil stopping us from getting there to experience the theme park’s magic. Asher is originally scheduled to go Trick or Treating at the Fun Ranch to which I registered him for free, however, we opted to go to the EK trip since our tickets were already paid. Besides, it was Asher’s first time and we were excited to let him experience the kiddie rides especially in the Boulderville area. Boulderville is the theme park’s prehistoric cartoon zone designed for kids. Various kiddie rides and play facilities such as the Rock Quarry and the Petreefied House complete with stone sinks and Flintstones-style cars delight children of all ages.

I’m yet to upload the pictures taken from the DSLR so I’m going to delay a bit the whole EK experience story.

To-Dos This Week

October 26th, 2009

Did another week just end and another one is starting anew? I haven’t even blogged about the week that was and now lots of events and topics have piled up more.

Asher’s nanny will take a one week off starting this coming weekend so I need to have all my pending works and online to-do’s done before she leaves. We’ll also be having a yet another very busy week offline starting Wednesday until the weekend holidays so hopefully, everything and everyone cooperates so I’ll have a stress and cram-free week ahead.

- Upload Enchanted Kingdom pictures

- Finish all pending online assignments

- Blog about the Enchanted Kingdom trip

- Sunday visit and cleanup at Himlayan

- List down November party and event schedules

- Review the loan app requirements checklist

- Monetize my newest project and start tweaking a new one (I’m about to have 9 “fingers”! Whew!)
