Scary World.
And it seems we can not really breathe easy just yet. We’re still dealing with and cleaning the traces left by Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) but here comes another impending typhoon again knocking on Philippine doors. According to Pag-asa, it will be heavily felt by Sunday.
Tsunami at Samoa Islands and a major quake at Indonesia today which was also felt at Singapore and Malaysia. Now tsunami warnings are issued in nearby countries: Thailand, Malaysia and India. What’s happening with the world? Definitely, He’s sending us some reminders from up there. That it’s time to make a paradigm shift and that, it’s time to detach ourselves from this materialistic world that we live in. The recent events simply remind us that there’s more to life other than all these craze over gadgets, signature clothings and bags, acne treatments and other body enhancing treatments, money and all other material riches.
It’s a call.
And we have to heed Him right now.

Most of the famous car manufacturers have their shops situated along Quezon Avenue. With the tremendous number of vehicles submerged in the massive flood last weekend, the husband was no longer surprised to see a long queue of cars along the road waiting to be served for repair and cleanup. It’s just worrying that these car shops might increase their toyota accessories rates since there is obviously a high demand for such supplies. Perhaps they might need to order in advance from abroad to serve all these requirements. Speaking of car parts and gmc accessories, I’ve just browsed a site where to find the best car accessories and parts. Check out the complete collection of CARiD.com should you have auto accessories requirements for your vehicle. They offer a wide range of choices for most cars, trucks, and SUVs on the road from fashionable lincoln аccessories styles to products dealing with comfort and protection.

It’s been four days since my last post here. Seeing my last entry makes me feel a little guilty because while I think of that particular Saturday as a lazy one, I didn’t know that for several people, it was a terrifying one as they raced time while saving their belongings and their lives from the raging and rising flood waters. We surely are lucky to live in, I could say, the highest part of Frisco although it’s like we were in an island because the flood in the surrounding low-lying areas are house-deep. Yes, that deep. I really feel sorry for our neighbors who were badly affected. I could not imagine how terrifying it was for them especially those who lost loved ones, those whose properties were completely destructed and for some even left homeless.

Seeing such pictures give me shivers. The owners of these need definitely need more than a motorhome towing service. I can’t fathom really how can this typhoon be so cruel and so powerful. I guess, it’s just a clear reminder that Mother Nature is knocking our doors and I don’t want to think that it’s payback time but I believe, the consequences of our actions towards the environment (illegal logging, pollution, etc) is starting to haunt us now.

I’m running out of sites to browse now so what else to do to drive the boredom away on a lazy, cold and rainy Saturday morning?
Browse old photos.
Old photos meaning your own golden photos of you when you were a lot younger that you buried deep inside the chest box and once swore that you’d never ever retrieve it. But seriously, it’s entertaining and nostalgic seeing how you transformed from a tiny fragile baby to a frightening monster good-looking and matured being. I can’t help but laugh when I saw how, eversince, I was so scrawny in my loose uniform as if I functioned as a hanger. I also saw my teenage photos, my smiles flashing the colorful braces I used to wear back then. I was fond of having the elastic rubbers changed by my dentist, who I have heard is now a Plano dentist, into different colors according to the holiday at the time of my checkup. Let’s say it’s Christmas, my smile is green and red themed.
Seeing photos of you with your childhood and school friends indeed bring back good memories. I thought of scanning and uploading them to my Facebook gallery but withdrew because they might not like the idea and I might just be cursed. LOL.

Isn’t it frustrating when your best laid plans suddenly go awry at the last minute? We were all set to spend a sort of whole day mini family vacation at Enchanted Kingdom today but typhoon Ondoy stopped us from doing so to my dismay. It’s far less grand than the luxury all-inclusive vacation offered by the Karisma group of hotels, in fact, incomparable with the top-notch amenities and services they offer their guests but I would just love to spend the day in a fine weather chilling and having some fun with my boys else where. Well, I guess, we don’t have a choice but to prolong our waiting as we rescheduled the trip until next weekend.
Anyway, my consolation perhaps for now as I’m stuck at home is I can lounge around the bed, stay online and just browse Karismahotels.com. It may appear that I’m personally adding insult to an injury but it’s much better feeling the Riviera Maya breeze online than mope around and hear the pounding of heavy rains on the roof doing nothing.
