Weekend Recap.

July 31st, 2008

I know..i know..it’s midweek and another weekend’s just around the corner. Pardon with the late posting. It’s not that I’m idling and all but as previously blogged, I was and still swamped with online stuffs plus I’m not so good in managing my time. So anyway, here’s a brief recap of my weekend.

Saturday was Kylie’s (asher’s 2-month-old cousin) christening so the whole family drove to Pampanga to attend it. The supposedly 30-40 minutes drive to Bacolor from Frisco took a little bit longer as Paul, driving my in-law’s new SUV, is not used to maneuvering automatic cars, hence, the slowly-but-surely drive at the start. The pedicab was even much faster than the car. Lolz. But he easily got the hang of it as we wandered farther and drove through the highway fairly fast. He even joked that it’s a good thing that we got a term insurance so no matter what happens, everything’s got covered. Silly!

We thought we won’t make it on time but incidentally, the wedding ceremony preceding the baptism wasn’t through yet and wrapped up late. You know how picture taking is like in weddings that it sometimes actually takes longer than the ceremony itself because every guests want to be on spotlight, too. The christening started at about lunch time already that everyone’s so hungry and getting ga-ga over the catered sumptuous buffet feast waiting back at my sister-in-law’s home. We didn’t have pics taken on the baptism ceremony itself because Paul was tasked to take the video. I would have taken the pics but I was holding Asher the whole time (no yaya in tow). So here are just a few pics that we have; mostly taken during the reception. Paul forgot to take a pic of the overflowing food and the tarp I specially made for Kylie..he was so much concentrated on his food. Lolz.

Mommy Wearing Asher through the sling

I’ve received some flickr comments surprised how skinny I am nowadays. Well, that’s courtesy of my son who’s getting rounder and rounder because of exclusive seemingly non-stop breastfeeding. Plus we didn’t have a nanny for the past 4 weeks and Asher has been my daily workout. (The nanny just came back yesterday, yey!).

Sunday - We were set to go to Himlayan to visit the grave of my MIL’s mom then go malling afterwards. But everything was cancelled as we were alarmed with Asher who has unusually pooped frequently since Saturday. He pooped 3x on Saturday then 4x on Sunday. I got tensed since his pattern ever since was entirely different. He just poops once every other day or sometimes it takes up to 4 days before he poops again. The paranoid mom in me rushed him to the hospital in the evening thinking that he might be dehydrated already. Then later I was informed that it’s just completely normal for breastfed babies to poop more often compared to formula-fed sometimes even up to ten times a day. The doctor said that Asher’s far from being dehydrated because he’s so active naman, very much healthy and no diarrhea signs on him or on his wastes either. I was very much relieved to know that. I may have appeared OA rushing him to the hospital but I’d always be on the safe side. Better be safe than sorry. Anyway, Asher has a health card to use so there’s no penny to shell out.

July 30th, 2008

* My weekend story still on a draft mode.
* Two pending online tasks waiting for an entry.
* A “new” home waiting to be furnished.
* Entrecard dashboard needs some tweaking, too.
* Pictures piling up for digiscrapping.
* New Aja products on the shop — need to play with them.
* Funky Playground Designs is filled with fab freebies - I have to download them all but with such a very slow connection, how would I briskly save and organize them into my EHD.

Okay…breathe in breathe out. Just one at a time.
I’m just so glad though that Manang is already here. My sored arm muscles can somehow rest a bit from carrying my almost-15-pounder son. I’ve got extra hands to take care and look after the little one while I finish all these online works.

My accomplishments so far:
* Recent pics from Kylie’s Christening are now uploaded.
* 1 FPD Teacher’s Pet Freebie download complete. Yay! 14 more to go!
Blogroll links updated.
* Just completed 1 online offer.
* ..and splurged some g-cash money for the little one. I’ll be posting the pics on my succeeding posts.

Ciao for now. I have to start rolling.

If only we can bring along our little Asher, we could have booked ourselves in this one of a kind travel experience.  It’s been a while since we last used our duffle bags for travelling.  But it’s okay as the family’s preparing for the big holiday getaway to Boracay this coming year end.  This reminds that I have to check out the Luggage Buying Guide so I’ll have an idea which kid sized travelling bag we can use.
