Someone’s Busy.

May 5th, 2009

And that’s me.

Finally, I’m touching my digiscrapping kits and is busy doing Asher’s 1st Birthday Photobook. I started yesterday and so far, what I have now are 2 one page layouts and 1 whole spread (consists of 2 layouts). I’m doing a 12×12 photobook and will have it printed at Artscow. Thanks to those who signed up under my referral code. I now have 14 credits to use. Woohoo! Just don’t know yet how many pages will I fill the photobook. I’ll know that as I go along. I’ll be sharing my layouts soon. Meanwhile, I just hope that this mojo will last until I finish the whole photobook.

My December Dailies.

December 3rd, 2008

I’m joining some of my digiscrapping and Twitter buddies in making a December Daily Life Album wherein we take a photo each day this month and whip a layout for it. Photos can be anything..food, emotions, places, anything..a shoe, a vehicle or even a golf equipment will do, as long as it’s taken within that particular day. With a busy month ahead (two out of town trips, weddings, parties, etc), I’m not quite sure if I’ll succeed or not, but hopefully with the prods of our Support Group (thanks to Aggie for putting up one), I’ll really try my best. It’s about time to reunite with my dusty digiscrap kits and awaken my sleeping mojos. I have to take advantage of the free Photo Books coupons at Artscow. Lastly, while there is still time and Asher’s infancy memories are fresh, it’s a must that I chronicle them and there’s no other better channel to preserve other than digiscrapping. So there, here’s what I did for my first day. I intended to make it simple because I’m focusing on the journalling so blocking of the elements have to be considered.

I’m still working on my second layout for Dec 2 and now, I’m on the lookout and my cam is just on a standby for a remarkable memory today.

Fifth Month.

August 5th, 2008

August 2, 2008 - Asher turned five months old. Here’s a few pics of the celebration:

If in case, you’re wondering why the text “birthday” is missing on the cake..ask the forgetful Daddy. He was the one who wrote down the text on the slip.

Asher's 5th Month.

At five months, here are the milestone markers worth noting of:
* Weighs 6.8 Kilos
* Plays with his hands and feet
* Brings feet to mouth then sucks on toes
* Loves rolling over on either side
* Brings objects to mouth
* Cries if playing is disrupted
* Shows a strong attachment to Mommy
* Smooches mom’s cheeks then wets them with drool
* Squeals and laughs easily when tickled
* Giggles over Daddy’s joking silly face
* Turns quickly toward where the sounds come from
* Starts teething and is manifested by his excessive drooling, frequent poops and exhibits keen interest in foods. Looks like we now have to start browsing for high chairs on the web as he’ll be needing it soon.
* First one syllable babble - Mi mi

And lookie here..I scrapped it:

I can’t believe how my lil Asher is growing up too fast. It seems it was just yesterday when we were choosing among the displayed cribs and preparing for his coming and now he’s so active already that gives us a hard time dressing him up or changing his nappies. He rolls over then prefers to lay down on his tummy. His bassinet will now have to be taken off the travel cots because he’s too big and active for it already.

Mommy Duty Calls and a Layout.

June 30th, 2008

Finally I get to have some longer online “me” time now. Asher’s nanny is taking a brief vacation in the province and we’ll be nanny-less for the rest of the week. So there, my online time during the day will be limited as I need to attend to my little Asher who, by the way, now weighs 6.3 kilos as of his 4th monthly check-up last Saturday. It’s okay because I get a little help naman from my mom who’s here with us while the nanny is away. The problem is the little boy’s starting to be in the stage of “nangingilala” na, that’s why he’s a bit clingy to me lately. When he’s being carried by someone else, he would just suddenly shriek and cry as if he’s in pain but immediately settles down and even starts to smile as if nothing happened when I get and console him. Kinda tough as I can’t move around freely, not to mention muscle-aching because of his heaviness but it’s flattering though..at least he now recognizes me as his Mom-the-protector-and-comforter as if making lambing to me.

I wasn’t able to go online this noon because we took a nap together for almost three hours. I got to open my lappy though while waiting for the little one to wake up and came up with this layout. Finally…a layout after a long digiscrapping break. I need to jumpstart my mojos and get it flowing since I’m tasked to design Asher’s cousin Kylie’s Baptism invites.
